William G. “Bill” Terrell, 64, went to his Heavenly home on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the I.U. University Health Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness. He was born on December 19, 1958, in Muncie the son of Richard Leon and Joan (Chambers) Terrell.
Bill graduated from Southside High School in 1978 and later married Marty (Barnes) Terrell in 1993 and she survives. Mr. Terrell had worked as both a driver and trainer for the Swift Transportation Cartage for approximately 8 years. He was a member of the Full Gospel Temple, he had also attended Faith Life Church, a former member of the Labors Local #1112, was a co-founder and set on the Committee of the Fallen Heros Memorial Bridge, a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club and was a lifetime member of the Full Gospel Businessman’s Fellowship International (F.G.B.M.F.I.) Bill had been appointed as an Honorary Chaplain of the Muncie City Fire Department.
Besides his wife of 30 years, Marty, he was survived by 1 son, Robert Gilkison (Mellissia Barrett), Muncie; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Richard G. Terrell, Marion, Dan Terrell (Cheryl), Muncie and Warren Scott Terrell, Texarkana, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 3 children, Robert Curtis Terrell, April Spring Terrell, and Tracy Lockhart, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor David Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
