Wilma Jean Lewis Muncie - Funeral services celebrating the life of Wilma Jean Lewis will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, located at 801 W. Adams Street, Muncie Indiana beginning at 1p.m. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, Muncie.
A visitation will be held beginning at 11a.m. and will continue until funeral services begin. Wilma is survived and cherished by so many including her, daughter, Lana Lewis, sister, Diane Carmichael, brother, Richard Ellis, brother, Fred Ellis, brother, James Ellis, sister, Sharon Jones, her 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and countless other relatives and friends. Those preceding her death include her daughter, Tamara Shepard, daughter, Tracey Carothers, sister, Kay Ellis, brother, Edward Ellis, father, Jack Ellis and mother, Dorothy Ellis, as well as many other loved-ones. Wilma Jean Lewis was born Sunday, June 29, 1941 and passed away on May 28, 2021, peacefully in her bed, at her home in Muncie. She was a member of the local VFW, Eagles and Moose clubs, and the owner and operator of her own business. She had a love of music, especially classic country, and enjoyed playing piano. She was an avid reader, cook, hairdresser and painter with a passion for BINGO, that seemed to know at least a little about everything. She was the loving matriarch to a large family—a selfless and enduring servant to any and all that relied on her. “Ninny” will be dearly missed by so many.
