Addie "Ruth" Keith

Addie “Ruth” (Ball) Keith,95, passed away on Thursday June 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born to William and Alicia (Stephens) Ball on March 7, 1923 in Whitley City Kentucky.

Ruth was a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing at church. In her younger years, she sang with her brother Rev. Garnett Ball and sister Ruby Morgan. She married the love of her life, Floyd Keith on November 29,1943. She worked for Ball State University and retired in the 80’s.

Ruth enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music, sewing, quilting, crafts, painting and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her two sons; William “Danny” Keith (Sarah), Larry “Scott” Keith (Rise”), a daughter Julie Lynn Keith Phillips, a brother Leonard Ball, a sister Carole Little (J.B.), a sister-in-law Mary Jo Ball, ten grandchildren; Larry Keith II ( Ashley), Echoe Howard (Scott Carey), Ellen Bowden, Carrie Lynn Emmons (Jason), Mark Keith (Kara), Jeffrey Keith (Nicole), Bradley Keith ( Amanda), Matthew Phillips (Karen), Illa Ruth Keith (Shawn Smith), Gary Keith, 15 great grandchildren; Hallie, Kalie, Macie, Ashlynn, Raef, Bowen, Sidney, Logan, Jacob, Aubree, Carlie Ruth, Chloe, Reeslynn, Piper, Landon, many nieces and nephews.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years Floyd S. Keith, a son Gary E. Keith, a son-in-law Carlos Phillips, two brothers; Hollis Ball, Garnett Ball, five sisters; Nonnie Slater, Ruby Morgan, Illa Keith, Doris Ball, Mildred Ball,

A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Wednesday, June 20,2018 at 1:00 PM at Parson Mortuary. Friends may call on Tuesday June 19, 2018 at Parson Mortuary from 4-7 PM and then an hour before the service on Wednesday.
