Charles "Chuck" R. Kinder

December 26, 1944 ~ October 5, 2017 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Muncie- Charles “Chuck” R.  Kinder, 72, passed away early Thursday morning, October 5, 2017, at his residence following an extended illness.  He was born on December 26, 1944, Madison, West Virginia, the son of Robert “Snowden” and Mary (Harvey) Kinder.

                Charles graduated from Greenview, West Virginia City Schools in 1962 and later married Angela (Talmo) Kinder on March 27, 1970 and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2002 and then he married his current wife, Winona (Trevino) Kinder on May 27, 2006 in Muncie and she survives.  Mr. Kinder proudly served as a sergeant with the Headquarters Company H&S Battalion EMF Pacific during the Vietnam War later; he would go onto work for the Resenoid Engineering Company in the Quality Control department and then eventually retiring from Owens Corning in 2002.   Charles was a member of the River of Life Church.

                Besides his wife of 11 years Winona , he is survived by one daughter, Cathy Spangler, Heath, Ohio ;one granddaughter, Cara Spangler, Heath, Ohio; two grandsons, Richard Kinder, Sr., Heath, Ohio and Kyle Spangler, Harmony, North Carolina; two great granddaughters, Neveah Kinder and Hayden Spangler both of Heath, Ohio; one great grandson, Richard Allen Kinder, Jr., Heath, Ohio; one sister, Joyce Pierce, Yorktown; one brother-in-law, Glen Ashworth, Grafton, Ohio;  several step children; several step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

                Besides his first wife Angela, he is preceded in death one son, Charles Raymond Kinder in 2001 and his parents and a brother, Raymond Eugene Kinder.

                Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the River of Life Church 5350 W. Bethel Ave., Muncie, IN 47304, with Pastor Kirk Van Ooteghem officiating.  Burial will follow on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Newark Memorial Gardens Cemetery 4244 Marion Rd. Newark, Ohio 43055.  Military Honors will be rendered by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

                Friends may call at the River of Life Church on Monday, October 9, 2017, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.

                Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
