Jimmie "VL" Lee Paige

Muncie-Jimmie “VL” Lee Paige, 60, passed away late Wednesday evening, May 2, 2018, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born on, September 13, 1957, in Orlando, Florida, the son of his late parents Emma Lee Paige and Henry Ware.

                Jimmie is a 1976 graduate of Muncie Southside High School and later had worked for several places around the Muncie area such as The Waters of Muncie, D.I.Y.(Do it yourself), mostly, he was a interior exterior designer for the A-1 Property Management of Muncie for several years prior to his disability.  Mr. Paige had served the U.S.  Army National Guard for several years prior to being honorably discharged.  He had attended the Covenant Partners Ministries and is a member of the Greater Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.  He enjoyed socializing with family and friends, Military Movies, television shows about animals and enjoyed listening to music.

                Survivors include his companion, Diane Moffitt,; his adoptive mother, Druella Jackson; three  sisters, Melanie Lyons, Joyce Hilty and Carolyn Clark; one brother, Henry Ware, Jr. ; several adopted brothers and sisters of the Jackson Family, two sisters, Dorothy and Thelma; four brothers Tom,  Albert, Leroy and Larry (wife-Terri);  several nieces and nephews ;cousins and friends a close nephew,   Michael Ross; a close friend, Lamar Akins.

                He was preceded in death by his Uncle and Aunt, Eulous and Willa McNeal; four adoptive brothers, Calvin Jackson, Oscar Ross, Cornelius Ross and Earnest Jackson; one adoptive sister, Jessie Goodwin.

                Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, 1:00 P.M.  at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Leroy Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery.  Military honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
