Lynda Rae (Mills) Sutton

Muncie- Lynda Rae Sutton, 70, passed away late Monday evening, January 21, 2019 at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on March 16, 1948 in Muncie, the daughter of Harlan Wilamine Naomi (Friar) Mills.

Lynda is a 1966 graduate of Muncie Central High School and later married Vaughn Sutton on August 10, 2013 in Hagerstown and he survives.  Mrs. Sutton became a Nursing Assistant for the Saginaw County Health Department in Saginaw, Michigan for over 20 years prior to her retirement in 2007.  She treasured family times especially with her two grandchildren. 

Besides her husband of six years, Vaughn, she is survived by one daughter, Shelly Tiitola (husband-Timo), Saginaw, Michigan; one son, Scott Bergan, Saginaw, Michigan; three grandchildren, Hunter and Kennady Tiitola both of Saginaw, Michigan and Zackery Bergan, Saginaw, Michigan; one sister, Synda Walburn, Muncie; one sister-in-law, Janet Mills-Marvin, Muncie; two special cousins, Sharon and Lana; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Phil Mills and her first husband, Michael Bergan on October 31, 2006.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 11:00A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary.  Cremation is taking place.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 5635 W. 96th St., Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278 to be used specifically toward breast cancer research.
