Richard Lykins Obituary

Richard Lee Lykins Jr., 70, of Muncie, passed away October 10, 2019. He was born in Winchester, Indiana to the late Babe Ruth Hickersson and Richard Lee Lykins Sr. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971, and was an amateur HAM radio hobbyist who also enjoyed photography. Richard also worked for the Tampa Tribune as a photographer for a time, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, Janice, and their dog, Duchess.

Richard is survived by his spouse, Janice; Sons, Jason (Jamie) Lykins, Aaron (Ileana) Lykins and Jesse (Jesse) Lykins; Step-sons, Bruce (Laura) Buchan and Russell (Carly) McKelvey; Step-daughters, Leslie Miller and Lisa Collins; Sister, Patricia Arnold; Several grandchildren, including Brianna & Emma Lykins; And great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Babe Ruth and Richard Lee Lykins Sr.

At this time the family has chosen cremation for Richard, you can honor his memory by donating to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Alzheimer’s Association.
