Tracie Haston

Tracie Lynn Haston, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 4th at her home just outside of Muncie following a courageous battle with extended illness.

                She was born on July 14th, 1964 in Muncie, the daughter of Steve and Carol Wages. She was a graduate of Muncie Southside High School and Ball State University, receiving a Masters Degree in Political Science. She was a medical coding specialist for Ball Memorial Hospital and Delaware County Emergency, among other area practices.

                She loved her family, all animals (especially cats), and watching movies and television. She was a good-hearted, kind, and welcoming to everyone she met, especially those less fortunate, in poor health, or otherwise challenged in life.

                Survivors include her husband of 29 years Mike Haston; her son James Haston; her father Steve Wages; her sisters Stephanie Ruddick (Husband Don) and Beverlie Wages; her brother Ross Wages; her niece Aspen Ruddick; several other nieces and nephews; plus her cat children Zoey, Sookie, and Holly as well as Taffy the turtle.

                She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Wages; her paternal grandparents Roy and Estell Wages; her brother Stevie Wages; her niece and nephew Stephen and Megan Wages; and beloved cats Whiskers and Gandalf.

                Friends and Family may call from 3pm to 7 pm on Monday, December 10th at Parson Mortuary, 801 W Adams ST in Muncie. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at the mortuary at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery, 5301 S Old State Road 67 just south of Muncie.
