Betty June (Holding) Pemberton

Betty June Pemberton, 78, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Community Hospital South in Indianapolis following an extended illness.  She was born on February 20, 1944 in Jamestown, Tennessee the daughter of Sam and Ruth (Smith) Holding.

Betty graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1962 and later married the love of her life, Edgar Pemberton, Sr., in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1991.  Mrs. Pemberton had worked for Borg-Warner as a machine operator for 25 years prior to her retirement in 2008.  She was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and enjoyed any time she could spend with her family.

Survivors include 2 daughters, June Pemberton and Sabrina Pemberton, both of Muncie; 1 son, Eric Pemberton (Melissa), Muncie; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Bernice Miller (Rev. Jerry), Yorktown; 3 brothers, Harold Holding (Linda) and Harry Holding (Karen), both of Yorktown and Herb Holding (Orpha), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Edgar Pemberton, Sr., she was preceded in death by 1 son, Edgar Pemberton, Jr., and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Parson Mortuary at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating.  Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
