Diana Jean (Boles) Boles

Diana J. Boles, 76, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday evening, May 23, 2023, at the Brickyard Health Care Center following an extended illness.  She was born on February 22, 1947, in Muncie the daughter of Robert and Bernice (Metzger) Boles, Sr.

Diana attended Muncie Community Schools and later worked for both Werts Novelty for 10 years, retiring in 2002 as a seamstress. She then worked for Bartlett’s Corporation as a seamstress for another 6 years before her disability.  Ms. Boles had formerly attended Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Bingo.   Diana treasured her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Helen Jones, Muncie; 1 son, William Robert Jones, Muncie; 5 grandchildren, Amanda Knebel), Britt Epperson (Emily Adams), Jeremiah Epperson, Matthew Jones, April Cundiff (Aaron); 10 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Alberta Hopper, Muncie, Evelyn Boles (Companion -Kay), Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Sue Jones, Stearns, Kentucky; 1 brother, Fred Boles (Dorothea), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Jimmy Lee Jones in 1995; 1 grandchild, James Albert Morrison in 2023; 5 siblings, Gladys, Robert, Virginia, Juanita, and Margaret.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 1:00 P.M.  with Pastor Ron Elam officiating.  Cremation is to follow.  Parson Mortuary Cremation Center is entrusted with these arrangements.

Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.
