Eddie C Slaven

Eddie Clifford Slaven was born on October 18, 1963, to the late Gorman & Geneva (Spurlock) Slaven in Muncie, Indiana. On June 1, 2022, Eddie left this world for his heavenly home. He was blessed with a loving and faithful family, and he had a deep love of the Lord. For those that had the privilege to know this loving and kind soul, a void will be left, and he will be terribly missed.

Eddie was a generous and tender man who spent countless hours praying for the family he loved dearly. His life’s work was a devoted prayer warrior. He often memorized and recited numerous scriptures for anyone who would listen. Eddie loved to write poetry, draw and had a passion for music.

Left to cherish his memory are sons Dustin Slaven of Oneida TN., Devin Robertson (Sandy) of Blountsville, IN., grandchildren Elijah Robertson, Savanah Slaven, Estelle Robertson, and great-grandson Bentley Cox. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a special cousin who he thought of as his angel, Carrie Case.

Eddie was preceded in death by his adoring grandparents, parents, grandson Marcus, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also gone before him, a sister Sheilia Thompson; as well as a brother Danny Slaven, with whom he had a profound and eternal connection.

Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary and Cremation Center, 801 West Adams Street, Muncie, Indiana, on Friday, June 10th at 1:00 PM.  Friends may call on the family from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana.  Pastor Larry Waters will officiate.
