Mitchell Waters, 70, was born in Muncie, Indiana October 31, 1949 to the late Herbert and Dorothy (Crisp) Waters. He entered Heaven March 11, 2020. Mitchell had proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam war before being honorably discharged to pursue his education at IU and Ball State colleges, earning several Bachelors and Masters degrees. He and his wife, Brenda, had ran their own thrift store, Ministry of the Heart, for fifteen years before closing their doors to focus their time on their family. Mitchell was a known shopaholic, but more than anything he loved his grandkids and great-grandkids dearly and doted on them as often as he could.
Mitchell is survived by his wife, Brenda Waters; Daughters, Laura M. Hirsch, Tameko M. Perry, Amber J. Giles, Stacey Y. Hirsch, Laura L. Waller and Lisa L. Key; Sister, Cathy E. (Chip) Coykendall; Nephews, Edward (Martha) Griffin Jr. and Denny Sells Jr.; Niece, Kristy Waters; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers, Herbert Allen Waters and Johnny Waters, and three deceased grandchildren.
At this time the family has chosen to honor Mitchell’s wishes for cremation. There will be a memorial service Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Parson Mortuary, 801 W.
