Forrest W. (Mark) Hensley

Muncie-Forrest “Mick” W. Hensley, 62, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 18, 2015, at his residence unexpectantly.  He was born on June 23, 1953 in Muncie, the son of Forest E. and Marjorie (Mays) Hensley. 

            Mick is a 1971 graduate of Wapahani High School and later married the love of his life Roxanne (Burchnell) Hensley on May 30, 1981 in Muncie           and she survives.  Mr. Hensley had worked as a Repair Technician for AT&T for 32 years and retired in 2009.  Later he worked for Advanced Auto Parts Stores as a Delivery Driver.  He is a member of the Sons of the American Legion #437 in Selma, the Anthony Masonic Lodge 171 of the  F&AM, had been a past area representative for the Communications Workers of America and a representative for the AFL-CIO.  Mick enjoyed his pets, woodworking and times with his family and friends.  It was said he was a “jack of all trades.”

            Besides his wife of 34 years, Roxanne, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle Hensley (companion-Tim Schwer, Jr.), Greenfield; one grandson, Logan Uitermarkt, Greenfield; mother, Marjorie Hensley, Albany; one sister, Connie Denney (husband-Daniel), Albany; one brother, Michael Hensley, Albany; mother-in-law, Patsy Burchnell, Muncie; one brother-in-law, Philip Burchnell, Muncie; four nieces; one nephew.

            He is preceded in death by his father, Forest E. Hensley.

            Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015, 6:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.   Private family burial will be on Monday at the Tomlinson Cemetery.

            Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Sunday, November 22, 2015, from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
