T. Louise (Moore) Coffman

August 7, 1921 ~ July 13, 2016 (age 94) 94 Years Old

                Muncie- On July 13, 2016, Our Lord opened the gates of righteousness to welcome T. Louise Coffman into see her King in all his splendor, and to joyfully give thanksgiving for becoming her salvation so many years ago.  Thelma Louis Moore was born on August 7, 1921 in Bedford, Indiana the eldest daughter of Harvey and Helen (Rodenberger) Moore.  Her family moved to Muncie, Indiana before her grade school years where she has remained until the present.  As a teenage she enjoyed her independence working in both accounting and manufacturing.  After graduating from Central School in 1945, she attended the Cleveland Bible College, the Great Commission Institute in Anderson and later Ball State University.    

           Her hobbies included; traveling with her family both domestically and in Europe, writing poetry, reading, the Bible, creating word games, flower arrangement, crafts, cooking and music.  She is a current member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Joy in the Morning Aloe Club.  In years prior she attended the Christian Missionary Alliance and served in various roles include the Organist.  Her home and dinner table were always welcoming to her fellow church members, youth groups and many extended family gatherings.  She will be terribly missed by anyone who had the profound pleasure of truly knowing her.

                On October 31, 1950 she married the love of her life, Johnie J. Coffman and happily became a homemaker and a loving mother to five children; Cathy Grigsby, Summerville, South Carolina, Kenny Coffman (Companion- Connie Hill) Albany, Karen Baker, Honeyford, North Dakota, Jeanie Shively, Mooreland and Kristy E. Coffman, Charleston, South, Carolina; She was thrilled when each one of her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren arrived.   She is also survived by two brothers, Harold Moore (wife-JoAnn), Schenectady, New York and Alfred C. Moore (wife-Jean), Midland, Georgia; two sisters, Marjorie Winn (husband-Chuck), Losantville and Sara Dean, Woodbury, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

               Besides her husband of 62 years, Johnie, she is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Daniel J. Shively; her parents; two sisters, Virginia and Dorothy Jean Moore.

                “How precious is your steadfast love; Oh God.  The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.  They feast on the abundance of your house.  You give them drink from the river of your delights.  For with you is the fountain of life.  In your light we see light.” Ps 37. 7.  Special passages: John 3.16, Ps 23, IS 40.11, II Cor. 1.21.

 Please join her family and friends in celebrating the life of T. Louise Coffman; at the Parson Mortuary Wednesday, July 20, 2016, 1:00 P.M. with Dr. Kristofer Holroyd officiating.  Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
