Winogene Mae (Mosier) Mesimer

                Muncie- Winogene M. Mesimer, 87, passed away Friday afternoon, January 6, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on April 1, 1929, in Delaware County, the daughter of Charlie and Ruby (Richardson) Mosier.

                 Ms. Mesimer had been licensed for 50 years as a cosmetologist having served nursing homes and private individuals throughout the Muncie area for many years.   She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Muncie Post and enjoyed sewing.  Winogene was known to be an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for others as a way of showing her love.

                She is survived by two daughters, Andrea Campbell, Muncie and Debra Marar (husband-Tony), Nashville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Tom, Wendy and Joshua Foster, David Campbell and Anthony Marar; two great grandchildren, Nick Foster and Isaac Montalvo; one brother, Marvin Mosier (wife-Charmaine), Yorktown.

                 She is preceded in death by Andrea’s father, William Mesimer in 2002; one daughter, R. Darlene Foster in 2010; one son, John W. Campbell in 1997; her parents; one sister, Melrose and one brother James.

                Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday evening, January 12, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday morning, January 13, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

                Memorial contributions may be made to Charity of the donor’s choice for veteran’s organizations.

                A special thank you goes to Dr. Derek Murphy of Fishers, the Central Indiana Orthopedic Staff with Dr. Scott Walker and Brittani Sizelove, her physical therapist, Jamie Tinder, the I.U. Home Health Care staff of Tracy, Anna and Adam and Dr. Frederick Steiner of the I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital for all of their fine care during this time.
