Betty Jane (Schafer) Langham

Muncie- Betty Jean Langham, 82, passed away early Thursday morning, May 26, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on April 16, 1934 in Hartford City, the daughter of Everett and Margaret (Tucker) Schafer.

            Betty attended Muncie City Schools and later married, John Paul Buck                                  and he preceded her in death in 1995 and then on August 4, 2001 she married Floyd J. Langham and he survives.  Mrs. Langham was a homemaker and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and sewing.  Family times were very special to her.

            Besides her husband of 15 years, Floyd, she is survived by three daughters, Lisa Keeley (husband-Steve), Jenny Poor (husband-Deano) and Linda Langham, all of Muncie; six sons, Noah Buck (wife-Connie) Floyd Buck (wife-Diane), Mike Langham, Rick Marlow (wife-Judy), all of Muncie and Allen Buck (wife-Doris) Lynn and Brian Buck (wife-Joanne) New Castle; eighteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three sisters, Ruth Ann Gaines (husband-Paul), Parker City,  Mary Privett, Muncie and Eleanor Oda , Losantville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

            She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.

            A Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the Church of God of Prophecy, 2000 West 10th St. Muncie, Indiana 47302.  Private family services will take place at a later date.  Cremation has taken place.
