Pat (Faulkner) Bruner

     Pat Bruner, 82, passed away Saturday evening, November 21, 2015, at her residence in Muncie.  She was born, December 15, 1932, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Charles and Freda McCrory Faulkner, and graduated from Farmland High School.

     Pat and her husband Bill, who died in 2009, were in the restaurant business all of their lives and for the past thirty years had owned and operated Bruner’s Family Restaurant.

     Surviving are her son, Bill J. Bruner, (wife, Jeanne), and two daughters, Beth A. Harris, (husband, Tom), and Brenda L. Bruner, all of Muncie; her grandsons, Sam and Zach Harris; her granddaughters, Whitney Parker, Lauren and Mallory Bruner; her great-grandson, Kaidin Harris; several nieces and nephews; and her long-time friend, Sharon Goodman.

    Everyone who knew Pat understands the connection she had with the staff and patrons at Bruner’s.  She truly considered the staff at Bruner’s both past and present, members of her extended family, and delighted at bringing happiness and friendship to the countless patrons whom she felt privileged to serve.    

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, to whom she was married fifty-seven years; and her siblings, Maxine Haus, Jack, John and Don Faulkner.

     Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Charlotte Overmyer officiating.  Entombment will follow in Beech Grove Mausoleum.

     The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday and an hour prior to the services at the mortuary on Saturday.

     Memorials may be sent to the Muncie Mission or the the Parkinson Association.

     The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Morrison Woods for the wonderful care she received during her stay.
