Phyllis Ann (Lancaster) Aranda

     Phyllis Ann Aranda, 79, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Liberty Village.

She was born August 24, 1936, in Muncie, the daughter of Pascal and Anna Lake Lancaster.  She attended Muncie schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School.

     She was formerly employed at several nursing homes and restaurants in Muncie.

     Mrs. Aranda had attended the former Creekwood Baptist Church, Temple Baptist Church and Full Gospel Temple.

     Surviving are her daughters, Mary Cowan, Bonnie Mauro, Dorothy Martinez, (husband, John), Anna Rust, (husband, Gary), and Peggy O’Daffer, (husband, Ron); twenty six grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nepews.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Aranda; her sons, Robert Lee “Bobby” Cowan, and twins, David and Daniel Cowan; her daughter, Betty Wolfe; two brothers, Pascal Porter Lancaster, Jr., and Edward Lancaster;  and two sisters, Betsey Mae Lake and Ruth Farrell.

     Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Denny Helton officiating.  Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the services on Monday at the mortuary.
